I would like to say that every one of the staff were extremely polite and eager to help. I really appreciated it. My "standard double" room was a bit small, but it's New York so you shouldn't expect too much for the price. I was pleased to have a clean room and I'd recommend it.

the hotel staff were excellet

Location was excellent. Good neighbourhood and near bus stops and subways.Free drinks in lobby in the morning.Clean rooms and good quality towels and bedding. Staff generally friendly and approachable.
Very small bathroom tiled in dark colour, little space for anything. Lift very slow.

Central - near activities we were doing.
The noises - the ticking and clanking noises in the walls were annoying.

Location The room price
This is my second stay at Park 79. My only complaint is that the hot water in the shower is random. Sometimes there is no water, just a drip, then it returns.

The staff is great, someone is always available and very helpful. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. The location is superb. The subway is 1 block away, lots of great places to eat and shop nearby. Also the great museums are close by.It is a very safe feeling neighborhood, even late at night.
The Park 79 was perfect for us, however, for a large person, the room might feel cramped.

It was exactly what we wanted, a room for the night within easy access to all of the main tourist attractions via either a short walk to the nearest subway station or a short taxi ride. Its location close to Central Park was great for an early morning walk.
It is not a dislike about the hotel, the only comment I would note is that although the external noise was not heard, the sound proofing of the room to the corridor was poor, this was hampered by the fact the corridor floors are timber thereby assiting in noise creation. We were able to hear other guests come and go through the night. Some additional sound proofing to the door and door frame would remove this issue altogether.

Very helpful staff, willing to check your bag for the day, very great location
The walls are either too thin or my neighbors loved having their tv blasting all night long. That got to be annoying, but I got used to it.

Its layout for the junior suite was a bit strange - yet, it was comfortable. I liked the definite separation of bedroom and living room. Two televisions were a luxury. The microwave and fridge were welcome surprises. The location was excellent for subway and taxi travel.
-
Location is the only reason, subway station 9 mins, bus stop 5mins,"Bean coffee"right across the street,The "share bathroom" never had to wait, you could walk to central park anytime you like.
The elevator was very slow. The room is very small. But for a solo traveller is ok. when the other people open or close the door,It will wake you up.
